About Rain Bermudez

Rain Bermudez is a multidisciplinary artist of Garifuna and Guatemalan descent, born in Central America and raised in the United States. His Afro-Indigenous roots form the foundation of his creative identity, deeply woven into his music, photography, and film. Each project pulses with ancestral rhythm, cultural pride, and the spirit of resistance.

As a percussionist and performer, Rain has toured and recorded with icons including Kanye West, Stevie Wonder, Sting, and Tony Bennett. His dynamic fusion of electronic world music and traditional percussion earned him a personal invitation from Oprah Winfrey to perform on her national television platform.

Behind the camera, Rain captures the raw beauty and resilience of everyday life. His intimate, story-driven photography has been exhibited in galleries and cultural events that honor the power of visual storytelling.

Based in Brooklyn, New York, Rain continues to grow his solo music career while performing with the internationally acclaimed band Mad Juana. His work stands at the crossroads of legacy and innovation—bridging past and present through rhythm, image, and voice.
